*WIN* with Rennies Travel Experience in the ‘Find Eddie the Explorer’ Competition.

Valid Entry

A valid entry is by a genuine person with a genuine social media account and email address.   Due to the mechanics of the competition, multiple entries will be accepted per person. The use of fake or duplicate accounts will forfeit your entry.

Competition Mechanic 

The public will be provided with clues via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn as to the whereabouts of ‘Eddie The Explorer’ on the Rennies Travel Experience website (www.renniestravelexperience.com).  The Eddie Character will be hyperlinked to a competition page which contains a game-like widget allowing persons to take particular actions in exchange for points.

The types of actions to be performed shall change weekly, and the user may enter each week.

Through this widget, a user accumulates points on their profile.  The individual  with the most points will win.

Individuals with an equal number of points will be entered into a draw among one another. A winner will then be selected from the ring-fenced pool of entrants.  For example, if person A, B, and C have 17 points each, these three will be entered into a randomised draw between them to establish a winner.

Prizes

WEEKLY

There will be weekly prizes, consisting of the following: 

• A R1000 cash deposit to the winner
• A sponsored prize, such as a hotel stay.  Please note that Rennies Travel Experience is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the sponsor regarding their prize. 

The weekly winner will be contacted via email. The winner must respond to a representative within 24 hours.  The winner must have a South African bank account.  If the winner does not meet the aforementioned requirements they forfeit the prize and a new winner will be selected and contacted.

GRAND PRIZE by lucky draw

• A Rennies Travel Experience Voucher to the value of R10 000 will be awarded by lucky draw to participants of the competition over the preceding weeks.  The entries will be allocated as follows: 
  • 10 points = 1 entry 
  • Points may accumulate, so if Person A has 20 points, they will receive 2 entries into the Draw. 

Therefore, valid entries will be randomly placed in a draw where one winner will be randomly selected. 

The winner will be contacted on 26 July 2023 via email. The winner must respond to a representative within 24 hours.  If the winner does not meet the aforementioned requirements they forfeit the prize and a new winner will be selected and contacted.

Should the winner not be able to use or redeem the prize for whatever reason, the prize will be forfeited by that person.

Terms of the Grand Prize Travel Voucher 

The Rennies Travel Experience Voucher is valid until 30 June 2024 starting from the date of issue by a Rennies Travel Experience travel advisor. 

The prize is only available when booking through a Rennies Experience Travel Advisor. The aforementioned prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. 

• Rennies BCD Travel standard Terms and Conditions apply.
• Supplier’s terms and conditions relevant to the travel booked and paid will be valid.
• This voucher can be redeemed by contacting one of our specialist consultants.
• This voucher may be redeemed for travel at Rennies BCD Experience within South Africa.
• For all other services, the travel team can assist (subject to certain specified fees).
• We do not accept any liability for any events or acts beyond our control as a travel fulfilment entity that may prevent travel from taking place.
• All bookings are subject to availability at the time of booking and applicable cancellation or change fees will apply.
• Change fees, supplier fees, Rennies BCD Travel service fees, and any other applicable fees and charges are to be borne by the voucher recipient.
• All additional costs for services not covered in the finalised reservation will be for the account of the voucher recipient.
• If the voucher is not redeemed as per the dates below, it is forfeited.
• At the time of the booking, we require a copy of your valid travel documents.
• All travel is subject to the approval of the relevant visa. No refund is applicable should the visa be denied.
• This voucher is not transferable or negotiable; nor may it be exchanged for cash or any other monetary product.
• This voucher number is provided to the winner in confidence, and it is your sole responsibility to keep this number secure and confidential.
• Rennies BCD Travel will not assume any liability should the voucher be used by anyone other than the person awarded the voucher.
• Use of this voucher is deemed an unconditional acceptance by the holder of these terms and conditions, without any exclusion or exception.
• Any costs over and above the value of the voucher will be for your account.
• Voucher value stipulated (VAT inclusive).

Who may not participate?

Employees, board members and immediate family members of Rennies BCD Travel or BidTravel are not eligible to win the Eddie The Explorer competition. Immediate family members include spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren are not eligible to enter or win the competition.

Privacy

By participating in the competition, users permit Rennies BCD Travel to enter personal information such as their name and email address into the database.
